Pray for Venezuela

Howdy all,

Many blessings to you all and in every way.  I wanted to ask you all, assuming you can and are willing, to pray for some possible major changes and upheavals in Venezuela.  Here's the current situation:

On December second, there will be a vote put to the public concerning changes that would be made to the Venezuelan constitution.  There are now over under sixty changes that would take place including removal of term limits for president as well as allowances for the removal of basic rights (due process, attorney, trial, pertinent information (ie. media) etc.) during a state of emergency.  There have been a number of protests that haven't been too violent (in comparison to what they could have been), but the protest "season" hasn't even started yet.  I haven't seen any polls, but most of what I hear on the street is against the reforms.  At the same time, most people tend to think that the reform will pass.  This is partly due to the fact that people are scared to vote since their name and how they voted will show up online.  Some people lost their jobs in the past depending on how they voted.

As such, prayer would be great for the following:

1. End to and prevention of violence in protests between the two sides and protection for everyone here.
2. For people to vote, without fear, and that there would be no repercussions to their vote.
3. For wisdom for Christians here as well as our team in knowing when to stand and when to lay low and what exactly our role is at this time.
4. For God to be at work in this country and that His will would be done as He rules in the kingdoms of men. (Daniel 4:17)
5. And let's go big, pray that president Chavez comes to know Christ in a personal way that radically affects how the governs.

Alright, I really appreciate your prayers in this and it's quite the ride to be in this bit of history. Security is from God alone and as such, prayer is the best insurance around.  Thank you again for your prayers, stay strong, seek the Lord and
Press on for Joy!
